I'm Simone Giampaolo, an award-winning London based Director with an insatiable appetite for storytelling and animation.
In 2013 I graduated with Distinction from the BA(Hons) Computer Animation Arts course at the National Centre for Computer Animation in Bournemouth (UK).
Throughout my career I've had the chance to work as director, animator and pre-production artist on over ten original animated short films, all of which have been screened at numerous international film festivals gaining recognition and also winning several awards.
From 2014 to 2018 I worked as a director and CG generalist in the commercial department at BlueZoo Studios on a multitude of projects for clients such as Cartoon Network, Disney, LEGO, Nickelodeon, Pokémon, Marvel, Lucasfilm and BBC.
In the past few years I’ve been crafting short films and mini-series at Jellyfish Pictures, Axis Studios, Ritzy Animation and Aardman Animations (which has been representing him as short-form director since 2018), among other projects.
